This British Council poetry competition is open to young people who are pupils at a school in Germany and are in Years 6–12 at the time of writing their poem. Pupils may write a poem of up to 50 lines in German or English that references Bohdan Piasecki’s work ‘Again, Again’ and reflects the theme of ‘repair’. The poem “Again, Again” and Bohdan Piasecki’s performance can be viewed on YouTube. The poem must be submitted as text and may – if desired – also be submitted as a video. Prizes include: Four winning poems, two in English and two in German. All winners will have the opportunity to read their poem at the 2026 Poetry Festival in Berlin (15 May–14 June 2026) and may take part in the poetry workshop “Weiter im Text” or the “young poems” programme at the Haus für Poesie. The winners will be announced on 15 May. Submissions must be received by 3 May 2026.
