Our projects
We are a small but active association. So we are looking for cooperation partners.
We welcome suggestions and are happy if anyone would like to support us or join us.
Reaching out to people from other cultures
We would like to open up the association more to migrants in our area (district) who are interested in writing and literature and who now speak German well or very well. On the one hand, this would be an opportunity to inspire this group with enthusiasm for German culture and literature and offer them a new linguistic home. This would strengthen integration.
Secondly, their way of expressing themselves can enrich the German language. We also hope that this will attract new members. This is also the reason why our website is multilingual.
Book exchange - Telephone box
We have suggested setting up a telephone box at the site of the book burning where books can be exchanged. This means that people can take books free of charge and either return them or keep them and add their own works.
We have approached the Lions Club in Kibo for funding. We are currently awaiting a response.

Book burning campaigns
Every year on 10 May, we commemorate the ostracized authors and the consequences this has for us. On this day in 1933, books were burned by fascists in Neumayerstraße opposite the Catholic Church of St. Peter.
The Museum im Stadtpalais contributes to this with accompanying exhibitions.
After a year of preparatory work, we were able to install a commemorative plaque at the site of the book burning. We would like to thank the Engel family for making the wall of their house (the former forest ranger's office) opposite the church available for this purpose.
Reading in nurseries
On suggestion, we approached nurseries in the Donnersberg district. They are always happy to welcome people who want to read to children. The groundwork had been laid, but ultimately (so far) no one has come forward who wants to implement the idea.
