About us

The Donnersberg Literature Association was founded by 10 members on 19 September 2012. It emerged in 2006 from a section of the Palatinate Literary Association, which had set itself the goal of organising the Donnersberg Literature Days (DLT).
The Donnersberg Literature Association (DLV) is based in the Donnersberg district (Kirchheimbolanden). It is entered in the register of associations at the Kaiserslautern District Court under VR 30452 and is recognised as a non-profit organisation worthy of support within the meaning of §§ 51ff AO (currently until 6/2028).
Our association aims to contribute to the cultivation and promotion of literature, thereby enabling people of all professions and age groups to come together. We want to get closer to this goal by

• initiating discussions on literature,

• organising literary events,

• supporting literary creation,

• maintaining an online presence,

• providing a platform for literature, authors and interested parties,

• and collaborating with other associations and institutions that promote the arts, 

Our work initially focuses on our district and attempts to spread out from there to the wider region. In 2013 and 2015, the members of our association were honoured by the district with the Citizens' Award for their special voluntary commitment.
