Welcome to the Donnersberg Literary Society (DLV)
Realising and enjoying literature

The Donnersberg Literary Association (DLV)
was founded on 19 September 2012 by 10 members. It emerged in 2006 from a regional group of authors who had set themselves the goal of organising the 1st DLT.
The DLV e.V. is based in the Donnersberg district (Kirchheimbolanden). It is entered in the register of associations at the Kaiserslautern Local Court under VR 30452 and is recognised as a non-profit organisation worthy of support within the meaning of §§ 51ff AO.
It currently has 41 members and 3 supporting members.

The Donnersberg Literature Days (DLT)
have been held every two years in Donnersberg since 2007.
In addition to a writing competition for upper secondary school pupils (which is awarded the Susanne Faschon Prize) and the prize for the most creative school in terms of writing, which honours teachers, there are readings with nationally renowned authors and authors from the Palatinate.
In addition, there is a regular poetry slam, accompanying exhibitions, readings for children and young people, and much more.

"Kibo reads and listens" (KL&L)
With "Kibo reads & listens", we launched a second series of events focusing on literature in 2018 (and thus in "even-numbered years").
How did this come about? Kirchheimbolanden was granted town rights in 1368. So 2018 marked the 650th anniversary. Of course, we had to get involved. However, the anniversary year did not fit in with the rhythm of the DLT. This gave the green light for a second series of events.

The DLV is committed to an anti-racist, peace-oriented approach.
With this in mind, we at the DLT always invite bilingual authors, participate in the Kirchheimbolander Peace Days and defend freedom of speech against authoritarian regimes.
