Statutes and organs

"The purpose of the association is to cultivate and promote literature and, in doing so, to enable people of all professions and age groups to meet. This goal is to be achieved, among other things, through:

• Discussions and events in the field of literature

• Support for literary creation

• An internet presence

• Cooperation with other associations that promote the arts."

We achieve our goals, for example, with the annually alternating event series "Donnersberger Literaturtage" (DLT) and "Kibo liest und lauscht" (Kibo reads and listens).

Through the Susanne Faschon Prize competition, we are in lively exchange with schools. For our readings, we cooperate with the district music school, visual artists and the museum in the Stadtpalais in Kirchheimbolanden. We have carried out special activities, such as installing a memorial plaque commemorating the book burning at the historic site, and we are involved in the Kirchheimbolander Friedenstage (Kirchheimbolanden Peace Days). 
The association also supports its two authors' groups: "Wachtenburg-Donnersberg" and "WortArt".

Executive Committee
The Executive Committee consists of:

• Dr Thomas Mayr (Chair)

• Michael Juppe (Secretary)

• Hannelore Mayr-Knochel (Treasurer)

Advisory Board
The Advisory Board advises the Executive Board on decisions concerning fundamental issues of the association. The Advisory Board currently consists of:

• Katharina Elsinger, Kirchheimbolanden

• Carla Fernandes Schlegel, Eisenberg

• Gabi Treiber, Alsbisheim-Heyerhof

General Meeting
The association's general meeting takes place annually and is responsible in particular for accepting the annual financial report, approving the actions of the Executive Committee, setting membership fees, amending the Articles of Association and electing the Executive Committee and the cash auditors.
The last general meeting was held on: 23 July 2025 in Kirchheimbolanden

Cash auditors
The general meeting elects two cash auditors. Currently, these are:

• Katharina Elsinger, Kirchheimbolanden

• Hans Vanselow, Rockenhausen
